Aaron

As well as High Mountain, Aaron also has roots of meaning in ‘exalted’ ‘enlightened’ and ‘bearer of Martyrs’ the sure sign of a very old name. Aaron was the biblical brother of Moses.
Cole

Cole stems from the name Nicholas, meaning People’s victory in Greek.
Leo

Leo might feel like a modern name but it has Greek origins and means lion. A great variation is also Leon. It could also be a shortening for Leopold or Leonard.
Maximus

This Roman name means The Greatest in Latin. Max is a lovely shortening for it.
Otis

Last year, Otis was number 74 in Nameberry‘s favourite names of 2019.
There are several thoughts on the origins of the name – but I’ve chosen to think of it as Greek – meaning ‘Keen of hearing’
Rufus

I can think of plenty of famous Rufus’ who are around at the moment – Sewell, Wainwright, Hound – this is a fabulous name if you have a red-headed little one.
Seb

This Seb isn’t just a shortening of Sebastian, it’s a name in its own right for the Egyptian God of the Earth.
Tau

Pronounced so that it rhymes with ‘cow’ this name means Lion – a wonderfully strong name.
Zain

Zain is an Arabic name, meaning grace and beauty.
The names Zain, Zayn and Zayin are all transcriptions of the seventh letter of the Hebrew alphabet.
