Last week I had a wonderful phone call, one I’d been waiting for for over 3 weeks. It was from the Guild of Photographers, letting me know that I am now a qualified member of the Guild of Newborn and Baby Photographers. I can officially put QGNBP after my name 🙂
So, what does that mean exactly and why has it made me so happy even though I already have a first class degree in photography and an MA in Digital Art? Well, this qualification is very specific to my business, below you can see the images that I sent in to the panel of professional photographers to judge. Images have to show a variety of poses and use of colour but still hang together as a body of work. Not only do they look at my images but also at my customer service, safety techniques (including proof of the images I composite for baby’s safety) and they require evidence of the insurance I have. All in all a rigorous procedure and one that only a small proportion of members hold – so you can understand why I’m still grinning from ear to ear! For all of you, I hope you can see that this is a real reflection of my commitment to delivering the very best service to all my customers.
