Here we are then, moving into another week of lockdown, albeit slightly lighter and with a little more room for getting out and back to work. However, schools and pre-schools and nurseries aren’t back yet. So, I’m going to keep going with my lockdown activities for you, I hope you keep enjoying them
Flower friends

Now that the flowers are starting to appear in abundance, this seems like a lovely activity. Draw some stick figures and then ‘clothe’ them with leaves, grasses and petals. It’s a lovely way to start noticing the delicacy and beauty of nature as well as very cute.
Storytime at the local library
Kent libraries are continuing with their story sessions by moving them on-line. You can watch the sessions on their Facebook page here:

Bubble Paintings
Here’s a fun one to try and it could be a great way to make greetings cards for friends and family. Just don’t forget to remind your little one to BLOW and not suck through the straw!

Pairing shapes game

A simple but fun one. Use some thick cardboard, draw shapes in different colours and then cut them in half. Your little one can then match them together. Make this challenge harder by making the colour the same for all of them, drawing different sizes of the same shape or drawing more complex polygons.

Blanket Fort
Sometimes we all need to hide ourselves away. Little ones love having a cosy corner to squirrel away their toys and books and hide from the world. You could make a blanket fort using sheets, towels or blankets over two chairs and fill the space with comfy cushions. It should get you a little bit of peace and quiet as your children settle in and make themselves comfy. If not, you could always hide in there yourself!

I’d love to hear if you’ve tried out any of my lockdown activities and enjoyed them. They’re especially chosen to appeal to toddlers and preschooler and something you can do as a family.
This week’s new guidelines from the government indicate that I’ll be able to being outdoor shoots from June 1st. Please contact me if you’d like to book in, via my contact page
