Newborns back in the studio

This week marked the first time I’ve been able to welcome newborns back in the studio for four months. To say that I was a little emotional about it would be an understatement! 

I’ve been very aware while planning for this moment that there are still many concerns about having a session and keeping everyone safe, so I wanted to reassure you about how it works.

Safety measures

As you can see from the picture below, I have both a mask and visor. I wear the mask while in the studio photographing. My visor is used when I’m close to your baby, adjusting their pose and calming them.
There’s also a large bottle of hand sanitiser, which I use constantly and encourage you to as well.

I asked my first client to write down her thoughts on coming back into the studio with her newborn and here’s what she said.

Janet took some photos of my older child when she was newborn and they were beautiful so when I had my new baby I wanted them done again but was worried due to the current circumstances.

I messaged Janet and she immediately reassured me about how she has adapted her sessions. Janet took her temperature before the session and checked we didn’t have symptoms.
If she went near the baby she also wore a visor which made us feel safer.

The studio has been cleared so there is more space to distance yourself and she ensured she kept sanitising her hands as did we.

I’m really pleased we went ahead and although the new guidelines are in place we enjoyed the session and felt relaxed.
