I can’t quite believe that I haven’t had anybody in my studio for over 3 months! It feels like forever and I’ve missed welcoming families in so much. As lockdown slowly eases, I’m excited to be able to open my studio again.
As with all businesses, I’ve been working on my studio safety guidelines. There will be some new procedures in place to make sure that we’re all kept safe and virus-free.
Studio safety guidelines
- As a general rule, I ask that you keep the number of people coming to the sessions to a minimum
- There will be no refreshments available so please bring anything you need with you
- I won’t be able to provide my usual toy box for siblings so please bring along entertainment for them if needed
- Sessions will be kept to the minimum possible, to minimise contact time
Before your session
- I’ll be in touch to confirm that I am free of Corona Virus symptoms and that you and your family are too
- If you have any questions or concerns please ask me
When you arrive
- We’ll all remove our shoes at the door and use the hand sanitiser available
- I ask that parents and children cross to the seating area straight away
- You’re welcome to wear a mask during the session if you feel more comfortable doing so.
During the session
- I will reapply hand sanitiser regularly
- I may ask you to position your child for me to get the best shots
- If I need to do close-up work, I’ll wear a visor
After the session
- I won’t be able to provide a bin so please be prepared to take your rubbish home with you
- My work clothes will be washed after every session
- All surfaces will be wiped down with disinfectant
- Blankets, outfits and props will be washed on a hot wash

I know my studio safety guidelines sound rather formal but I wanted to let you know that I’m serious about your safety. The sessions will still be as fun as always and I’m so pleased that I can get back to helping you tell your family’s story.
Please get in touch if you’d like to book a session or want some more information
